My name is Jahnavi Hurley. I’m an artist and academic born and raised in the heart of Seattle, where I’ve been surrounded by creativity, culture, and community.

I recently graduated from the University of Washington with degrees in 3D Art and the Comparative History of Ideas. My work builds on a background in character and entertainment design culminating in figurative sculptures, wearable art, and my Comparative History Thesis on Autistic Representation in Media and A Brief History of Animation (soon to be available on YouTube).

Sociology, philosophy, mythology, and animal behavior are among my favorite sources of inspiration. Human behavior is often the main subject of my work, exploring the depths of morality and mortality with curiosity and care. I hope my work provides a reflection for viewers to ponder their assumptions, associations, and position in the universe.
